LBS CENTRE FOR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
The LBS Centre for Science and Technology, established by the Government of Kerala in 1976, operates as an autonomous body with the primary objective of acting as a bridge between industries and technical institutions. The center facilitates interactions between these entities for the benefit of society.
The governance structure involves a Governing Body and an Executive Committee. The Chief Minister of Kerala serves as the Chairman of the Governing Body, while the Minister for Higher Education is the Vice-Chairman. The Principal Secretary for Higher Education chairs the Executive Committee, with the Vice-Chairman being the Director of Technical Education. The Director of the Centre serves as the Member Secretary for both bodies and is the executive head.
LBS SKILL CENTRE
Govt of Kerala had given sanction to establish Franchisee system in LBS Centre to develop and operate IT/ITES/Skill Training Programs through LBS SKILL CENTRES.
DATATEC SKILL ACADEMY
DATATEC Skill Academy’s Mavelikara, Kayamkulam, and Punalur centers operate as franchisees of LBS Skill Centre. As franchisees, these centers are authorized to provide training and certification for various computer and skill courses offered by LBS (presumably the LBS Centre for Science and Technology).
LBS SKILL CENTRE – COURSES and DURATION
Before you start filling the application, Please read the following instructions carefully.
● Students need to upload scanned copies of the documents that include photograph, SSLC, Aadhar Card and certificate to prove academic eligibility (Only for +2/Degree/Diploma eligibility).
● During admission time, all the students should submit copies of SSLC, Aadhar Card and academic eligibility mark lists and certificates (Only for +2/ Degree/ Diploma eligibility) before the Officer in-charge of the LBS Centre where you want to join for the course. For the SC/ ST/ OEC category, two copies of the above certificates are needed.
● Also, in the case of SC/ST/OEC students, for fee concession, the student should submit copies (two sets) of valid Community certificate, Nativity certificate, Income certificate and Bank pass book before the Officer in-charge of the LBS Centre where you want to join for the course.
● Student need not have to pay any fees while registering online. The verification will be conducted at the centre and you have to be physically present. That date will be intimated to you by the centre head.
● Once admission is confirmed by the student for the course they have registered for, a nominal amount of application fee will be collected at the centre of your choice and further instructions regarding fees payment will be given to you by the officer.
● Photograph must be a recent color photo in jpg format. Dimensions 155 x 200 pixels (preferred). Size of file should be between 20kb – 50 kb.
● The supporting document should be pdf format and size of file should be less than 100kb.
